Solubility rules
What is Solubility rules?
The general rules that state which salts dissolve in water. All sodium, potassium and ammonium salts are soluble and all nitrates are soluble, with no exceptions. Chlorides are soluble except lead(II) chloride and silver chloride. Sulfates are soluble except barium sulfate, calcium sulfate and lead(II) sulfate. Carbonates are insoluble except sodium, potassium and ammonium carbonate. Hydroxides are insoluble except sodium, potassium and ammonium hydroxide, and calcium hydroxide is partially soluble.
