Redox Reaction
What is Redox Reaction?
A reaction involving simultaneous oxidation and reduction. At Core level oxidation is defined as gain of oxygen and reduction as loss of oxygen, so a reaction in which oxygen moves from one species to another is a redox reaction, and the two changes always happen together in the same reaction.
This definition is part of the Chemical Reactions chapter in Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry.
