Test for Water
What is Test for Water?
A chemical test that shows whether water is present in a sample. Anhydrous cobalt(II) chloride changes from blue to pink and anhydrous copper(II) sulfate changes from white to blue when water is added. Both tests detect the presence of water only; neither shows whether the water is pure.
