MRSA

What is MRSA?

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, a strain of bacteria that is not killed by several commonly used antibiotics. It is the standard example of a resistant strain arising by natural selection, and infections caused by it are harder to treat because fewer antibiotics remain effective against it.
