Temporary slide
What is Temporary slide?
A microscope slide prepared for immediate viewing, in which the specimen is mounted in a drop of liquid under a coverslip rather than being permanently fixed. A stain such as iodine solution or methylene blue is usually added so that structures which are otherwise transparent become visible.
