Vector Control

What is Vector Control?

Any measure that reduces the transmission of a disease by acting on the organism that carries the pathogen. For malaria this includes removing the standing water in which eggs, larvae and pupae develop, killing adult mosquitoes with insecticides, and preventing bites with treated bed nets, window screens and protective clothing.
