Induction Training
What is Induction Training?
Training given to a new employee when they join a business, introducing them to the organisation, their role, their colleagues, the workplace and its health and safety rules. It shortens the time before a new employee becomes productive, reduces early mistakes and helps the newcomer settle in, which lowers the risk of an early resignation. Its costs are the time of the trainer and of the new employee, and a poorly designed induction can overwhelm a newcomer with more information than they can absorb at once.
